Halfway through development, the software shop writing our flagship website quit the project, leaving us with an unfinished system that used technologies completely unfamiliar to us. While scrambling to get up to speed with the new languages and environments, we sought help from various contracting shops and independent consultants, only to end up terribly disappointed by the quality of the work performed. Then, through word of mouth, we heard about Work IT and Devo Consulting and reached out to them. It turned out to be by far the best IT collaboration relationship we’ve had in many years. They listened carefully to understand our needs, never tried to sell us more than we wanted or needed (which had been a recurring problem with everyone else assisting on this project), then delivered in time everything we asked for. The quality of the deliverables was exceptional, the advice given was helpful and to the point, communication with everyone involved in the exercise was easy (which was essential in a project where if you don’t ask questions you’re probably doing something wrong). Given the level of technical difficulty of the tasks we needed help with, a line of business that almost nobody knows about, and the relatively small size of the project (from Work IT’s perspective), we consider ourselves lucky to have found Work IT / Devo Consulting. Considering the whole package of professionalism, business ethics and friendliness, we would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone in need of various types of IT support; we will continue to reach out to them ourselves for similar projects.
